Tendershipping (Bakura X Ryou). Comes after 'Insanity From Sorrow'.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When he opened his eyes the first thing he saw was a bright, white light.
Was he in heaven?
Was he with Bakura?
Did he get his wish?
His eyes adjusted to the light and he gave a quiet cry  when his eyes focused on his surroundings. He was in a white room that smelled of chemicals and screamed 'hospital' in his face. He squeezed his eyes shut as the realization that he was still alive slammed into him and tears streamed down his cheeks.
The overwhelming feelings of sorrow returned but he was more in a right set of mind than he had been when he was last awake. As much as he would love to try again to be with Bakura he couldn't help take to heart what his insane mind had told him. If Bakura could see him now, he would definitely not be happy. He was even ashamed that he had even tried to kill himself.
His eyes snapped open as he realized a very important question. How had he survived? He was sure that he had hit a dreadfully vital spot. He should be dead right now, so why wasn't he.
"You missed your heart by an inch." a deadly voice spoke from the room entrance.
Ryou's head whipped around to the door, eyes wide with shock and a gasp escaped his mouth as he took in who was standing in the doorway. Looking quite ruffled and as if he hadn't slept in a couple days, was the one person Ryou didn't expect to see again. Bakura.
"B-Bakura?" Ryou asked as if unsure that the person standing before him was actually real.
The other shot him a piercing glare that snapped him out of his shock and had him shrinking down into the bed. His subconscious was right, the older male was pissed as hell. As much as he loved Bakura the man was scary when he was angry and, like everyone else, Ryou was not immune to it. He knew that he had brought it on himself when he had tried to kill himself, but he still hated it when Bakura was mad at him.
"That's all you have to say." he replied somewhat harshly. "I come back from Ra knows where hoping to see your smiling face but what do I come back to. I find you," he pointed angrily at the boy who tried to shrink farther into the bed, "as pale and as thin as death, covered in blood with a knife sticking out of your chest. I take you to the hospital only to be arrested under suspicion of attempting your murder and held in jail for three day before I was suddenly let go a couple hours ago and all you have to say is my name?" Bakura growled in frustration, "Never mind, I'll yell at you later. Now scoot over," As he had ranted Bakura had made his way around the bed to the side Ryou's IV wasn't on, "I'd like to get some sleep now that I can."
Ryou obediently scooted over to let his Yami lay down next to him. Bakura slid in and pressed his face into Ryou's neck, his lips brushing against his neck. Ryou blushed brightly before realizing exactly what the spirit was doing. He was checking his pulse. Checking for himself if Ryou was still alive.
Ryou felt tears come to his eyes and he lifted his hand to run his fingers lightly through Bakura's hair, "I'm sorry, Bakura. I just couldn't live without you. I still can't. I just hope that this isn't a dream. That I won't wake up to find you gone…again. Please don't leave me again."
Bakura didn't say anything but he nodded slightly. Ryou let his tears fall as he let himself believe that Bakura was real. A sob escaped him and he gasped in pain as it irritated his wound. He whimpered slightly, tears sliding silently down his cheeks. His eyes widened however as his pain had caused a reaction from Bakura that he hadn't expected. He buried his face his face in Bakura's white hair when he felt his neck was wet.
A short while after Ryou looked up to the window to see rain and he couldn't help but think that the sky was crying too. He thought that it looked as if it was crying for the both of them. He stared at the window for a moment longer before resting his head against his Yami's.
"Bakura…" no response but he continued anyways. "I promise I won't try to kill myself if you promise to never leave me again. I swear on my love for you and you are the most important person in my life. I love you, Bakura."
Ryou received no response but he hadn't really expected any since he assumed Bakura was already asleep. It didn't really matter if the other had heard or not, all he cared about was that Bakura would stay with him.
He gave a small sigh and closed his eyes, knowing he would need the sleep since his Yami had promised to yell at him later. He wasn't sure he was dreaming or not but he could hear Bakura say something.
"I love you, too, little one. I promise."
I finally got this one done. This comes after 'Insanity From Sorrow'.
